Moose Jaw firefighters, along with EMS and Moose Jaw police, responded to a garage fire on the 1300 block of Hochelaga Street West just before 3 p.m. Sunday.
Two fire trucks were at the blaze within minutes of receiving the call, said Mike Russell, deputy fire chief, and found the structure fully engulfed in flames.
“We were able to knock down the fire very quickly,” Russell told the Times-Herald at the scene.
The homeowner, as well as aware neighbours, made the call to report the emergency, said Russell.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, he said, but it does not look suspicious.
There was no damage to any surrounding structure and there were no people injured in the incident.
