One man is to be charged with aggravated assault and is set to appear in court today after an incident in the early hours of Friday morning.
According to a statement issued by the Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) early Friday morning, officers received information around 1 a.m. that a man was going to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening stab wounds after an altercation in the area of the 800 block of Seventh Avenue Northeast.
By the time police arrived on the scene, the suspect had fled. The K-9 unit was brought in to help with the extensive search of the city, and found the weapon and the suspect’s personal items. The man was then located at a hotel near Main Street North and Thatcher Drive.
He was held for court Friday morning, where police have indicated the Crown will ask for him to be remanded into custody.
