And then there was one.

Seaborn Agencies (Joel Jordison, 5-0) became the final unbeaten team in the Original 16 Cash League on Wednesday night at the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre after rolling to a 10-3 win over Ackerman Ag. Services (Patrick Ackerman, 1-4).

Jordison got off to a fast start with three in the first end and extended their lead to 5-2 with a deuce in the third. Another three-ender in the fifth and steal of two in the sixth brought the game to an early end.

BTN Chartered Accountants (Penny Barker, 4-1) came into the night as the other undefeated team, but fell 8-2 to Moose Jaw Fountain Tire/Keon’s (Warren Marcotte, 4-1).

The game was tied 2-2 after three ends, but Marcotte picked up two in the fourth, stole singles in the fifth and sixth and another two in the seventh to secure the win.

John’s Music (Ryan Wenarchuk, 4-1) kept pace with the leaders with a hard-fought 6-5 win over Shaunna Fritzler. Fritzler led 4-1 through four ends but Wenarchuk picked up two in the fifth and one in the sixth to tie the game. Fritzler picked up one with the hammer in the seventh before Wenarchuk’s deuce in eight secured the win.

Tip Top Roofing/Pro-Tec Electric (Stan Barnsley, 4-1) also held on to the second place tie with a 6-5 win over EMJ Marketing (Joe Gunnis, 2-3). A three-ender in the fifth gave Barnsley control of the game before scoring one in the eighth for the victory.

Terra Grain Fuels (Ralph Courtnage, 2-3) had the biggest win on the night, defeating RA Garland Agro (Murray Stroeder, 2-3) 11-3. The game was close at the fifth end, with Courtnage leading 4-3, but a three-ender in the sixth was followed by a steal of four in the seven to end the contest.

Barb Wallace (1-4) picked up her first win of the season, overcoming a 5-2 deficit and stealing two in six and seven for an 8-5 win over Protec Video (Wade Gray, 2-3).

Easy Care Living (Lorraine Arguin, 2-3) made things interesting the final end against Kal Tire (Bob Desjarlais, 2-3) with a three-ender, but it wouldn’t be enough as they dropped a 6-5 decision.

The night’s other contest saw KMS/Park Capital (Ben Gamble, 2-3) roar out to a 4-0 lead in the first two ends on their way to a 6-4 win over Team Redgoat (Donna Ackerman, 3-2).
